Tom Deering mentioned the high and low points of his trip to Mesa.

I was surprised that he didn't mention physically assaulting me in the
hallway to the trade fair, for which I suffered two cracked ribs and several
scrapes and bruises. He had threatened to break my hand so I'd be writing
left-handed, but I think the chest injury turned out to be much more
painful. I should be healed in about a month.

This was the thanks for bringing my very expensive and heavy Vrex stereo
projector specifically for his video presentation. Neither the theatre
director nor myself were notified that he was not showing up for the
scheduled presentation on Saturday, after not being ready for the showing on
Friday. Nor did he show up for the reschedule on Saturday afternoon.
