Gee I just got this through Greg Erker of NYSS. I responded to him
directly, but I've included my reply here so that others can see.

Unfortunately New York City is not the best place to buy used
equipment. It tends to be pretty expensive here. I will list a few
places though.

B&H Photo is on 9th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets. I don't
know if they have much of a stereo collection, but they are honest.

Adorama is on West 18th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. They are
another honest dealer.

Olden Camera is at 1265 Broadway (near 32nd Street). Their phone
number is (212)226-3727. They have a wide variety of stereo cameras,
but their prices are very high.

When shopping for cameras in NYC you need to be careful. Except for
the stores I have mentioned (plus Calumet and Lens&Repro, two
professional camera stores who are unlikely to have stereo equipment)
you should be very careful. Specifically avoid any of the camera and
electronic stores on 5th Avenue or in the Herald Square area (near
Olden). These are tourist traps and are only there to separate you
from your money.
