I used ONE slide to compare the Ekeren viewers at Mesa and
came to this conclusion. The viewer that I thought provided
the best competition for the 5XR was the Ekeren Slim 6X.
This viewer came closer to providing the WOW that the medium
format folks talk about and had individually focusing
lenses. The only downside was that I have large thumbs and
fingers and had trouble removing the slide after viewing
with the Slim 6X and the 5XR. My final decision was the
same as George as I also purchased the 5XR. With the 7 perf
RBT slides and the Ekeren 5XR viewer it makes me wonder if I
should start shooting more slides and fewer prints. Jon
Golden's Euro friends tend to spend all their design time
on slide related equipment and ignore us print shooters.
It's a good thing we have Alan.
