Unfortunately, addresses which are "harvested" from the
mailing lists are fairly impervious to attempts to get
removed. I see these foreign language messages here at RMC
perhaps 3 times a day, always with a pirated account. 

I'd hoped to avoid this by making access to the archives
subscription based at egroups, but it takes only one slip
to open the flood gates. If they are not being passed via
the list, even going to full moderation won't help.
