Note from a longtime lurker:

Preparing to go up to Chicago for a long weekend, I searched on 
"stereograph" and "Chicago" and found, among other things, the 
Canadian Pacific Railroad (CPRR) Museum website.  Featured on the 
home page is an Alfred Hart steroview documenting the construction of 
the route.  Weird thing, though, is that it's set up so that if you 
drag your cursor over the border of the stereoview (a reduced image 
of a stereo card), the left and right views interchange.  As the note 
says, "To bring out the 3-D effect, move your cursor back and forth 
across the picture's edge."  It actually kind of works--a retro 
development of the "jiggle stereo" effect discussed here in recent 
weeks.
