If your images look soft on one machine, and the reprints look much
sharper on another machine ( like the Frontier) then I would suspect a
dirty printing lens. It is important to clean these lenses often. The
sharpness of a photo is usually determined by the taking lens, and
baring no technical problems with the print machine, sharpness should
not vary from machine to machine. There will be differences in color,
contrast, cropping etc. I agree the Frontier prints look much better,
much crisper etc......but I cannot conclude this as a sharpness issue.
I'll have to do some research.
