mention was made of the fact that this stock, for some reason, was not
advertised nor was it on their regular sales lists. The person who posted
the info said that there was a particular guy who should be contacted at
this well known large camera supply house in N Y City in order to assess the
current stock situation. If the above person who placed the posting
referred to on List reads this meaasge and recognises the details, would you
kindly come to my rescue >>

I posted this and I hope this information is helpful to you or anyone else
who reads this. The store is Cambridge Camera in New York City and the
contact person is Robert and you will need to tell him that I referred you.
Unfortunately the stock is low as I have either purchased for people or
referred people to the tune of close to 75 cameras. I purchased 4 cameras a
few weeks ago for two other Photo 3D members and I had to go through about 10
cameras before I foud 4 acceptable ones. I do not know how or why they had
all these bodies of a relatively hard to find camera. They say they are
demos, but I don't think so. In any case there are still some left and you
may want to ask for a better price on a blemished camera. The problems I
found included bent shutter, lack of advance, loose night light window, etc.
So you see there are major and minor problems. A loose night light window is
a small problem and should not affect the operation. Others just had
cosmetic problems. It would be best if you could go in person. The prices
range from a low of $140 to a high of $179, plus 8 1/4 tax if you live in New
York. The low and high prices have no rational and just depend on Robert's
mood, but the low number of cameras is not in your favor for a good price.
Everyone who got this system is extremely pleased. Please feel free to call,
e-mail, or write me for further info.
