What will cause the demise of film is SALES and PROFITS. We all have a
special warm spot in our hearts for film, but that means very little, if
it is no longer profitable for film to be manufactured. Regardless of the
quality, I believe for most people, it is cost. People for the most part
want it cheap and fast. This is why so many cheap digital cameras are
sold. Sad to say that even if a better quality image side by side with
the digital image were shown to people who are willing to accept digital,
digital still unfortunately still wins. Many do not want better if it
means a little more money and effort.
