I mount fast and precisely using spicer cardboard mounts. Did I learn
Dr. Dave's and Dr.T's endorsed method using an RBT jig? Nope....no need
so far, but I'll get around to it.:-) I am a lucky and proud owner of
the spicer acrylic jig. I lay the chips on the mount, adjust the window
using a modified SV-1 ( I thought I discovered this technique 2 years
ago but I'm sure I was not the first :-)) and using scotch tape, tape
only one side down, then seal the mount. I can rival precision RBT
mounting......and mount faster than using the RBT mounts! A good
mounting technique / simple method is the most important skill to
develop for the successful continuation of stereo photography IMO. I
believe many folks who quit the craft are discouraged by the
frustrations of mounting.                           Mark Dottle
