[photo-3d] Re: "current" twinable cameras

I ended up with a pair of the Cosina C3, sold in the USA as the Phoenix P2.
This camera functions as mechanical camera and has a cable-release socket and
takes K-mount lenses.  However, it has a battery-operated shutter and so has
aperture priority OR manual operation. It should be perfect for a twin rig.
It comes with a pair of the same Cosina 35-70 zooms that are on the RBTX4. It
also fits any Russian K-mount lenses such as the 16mm f/2.8 Zenitars.

Note that the Cosina C1 is the basis for the RBT X4, and was the starting
camera for the Voightlander Bessa-L.

                        The timeless style and
                        functionality of a 35mm
                        manual-focus, manual-advance
SLR camera, with the addition of
                        aperture-priority auto-exposure
                        for greater convenience. Just set
the lens f-stop according to how
much depth of field or action-stopping you want and
the
P2 controls the shutter for great results every time.
Or
adjust the shutter speeds manually if you wish, for
full
creative control. Since the P2 accepts Pentax-style
lenses, there are dozens to choose from. A great
student
camera, with the flexibility to grow as your needs
expand.

Aperture-priority auto exposure & metered manual
                             Shutter speed display in viewfinder
                             Standard hot shoe flash mount
                             Self-timer, cable release socket
