I replied off-list to the 2D part, but I do have a 3D related suggestion
for future trips where weight is a deterrant to bringing a Realist: try
a Nimslo. I don't know about publication quality shots, but this camera
is actually pretty decent for either print pairs (each of the 4 images
is half frame) or slides (4p). Add closeup lenses and results can be
awesome. And of course it is very lightweight, suitable for backpacking
etc. If you are not familar with non-lenticular uses for a Nimslo, check
the archives or get the Nimslo Book from Reel-3d. -Linda
