[photo-3d] Re: Spicer mounting problems

I taped up 20 old Spicer mounts without any film and projected them. I
found a
few that bulged on the right side. It turns out that I had not kept the tape
tight when I folded it over on that end on those few. I checked the mounted
slides with the problem and found that in most cases, there was a loop of tape
on the right end, but it was tight on the left end. I now realize that the
problem was the way I was holding the slide during taping. I was pinching the
slide together on the end near me, but not pinching very well on the far end.
The with 8 perf mounts it is hard to pinch without touching the film.

Sorry to cause such a fuss over taping but maybe someone else is having the
same problem. I added another layer of silver tape on the right end, this
time
very tight, and they projected OK.

Thanks Paul T, Dave K, and Bob B for your help.

Regards -Ralph
