[photo-3d] 3-D Star Wars Mouse Pad

I went to Big Lots last night (a closeout store chain in the U.S.,
also known as Odd Lots, Pic 'n Save and MacFrugals) and found a
rather
nice Star Wars: Episode One, lenticular 3-D mouse pad for $1.99. It
features two different 3-D scenes when viewed from different angles,
one of a lightsaber battle and one of Darth Maul posing with his
lightsaber.

The depth effect is pretty good, especially on the Darth Maul side.
And, although it's hard to tell for sure, it looks like each 3-D
scene
is made up of at least 12 separate images, so the effect stands up
well to rotation.

I'll probably go back and get a spare to keep unused. I have a
feeling that the lenticular coating on the one I am using as a mouse
pad will get worn down over time.
