And where do you think retailers get their stuff from???  Sure there are
"wholesale" sources.  You just don't know about them :)  Even if you
knew the sources, would you be willing to buy the large quantities
to get the low price?  In that case, you might as well join the rank of
"retailers" yourself. :)  But as a rule, you are right, demand for stereo
is low at the consumer end so prices in general are high.
