[photo-3d] Okay, buy a printer if you must

For my purposes a photo printer isn't a good investment at this time. If I
couldn't get sharp photo quality prints for 35 cents each overnight in my
own neighborhood this wouldn't be the case.
>This also is an argument not to buy a computer at all!
Computers are also quickly improving, but most people realize that it's
futile to wait for the next big thing in computer technology. If you don't
get experience working on a computer now, the next leap in processor speed
won't do you any good. I'm getting lots of printing done these days, I'm
just letting someone else worry about printer maintenance and upgrades. The
pace at which printing technology is advancing is rapid and significant
enough that I stand by my reply to the query about which printer to buy for
creating high quality stereocards: consider not buying one at all. Sure,
you can hang on to an obsolete printer, but when resolution improves
significantly, fading problems are solved and the promised 100 year archival
inks come out next year are you going to want to? Jim Harp
