The RBT S1 is a very expensive stereo camera which
depends on batteries and delicate electronics to operate.
The Realist is an inexpensive glass & metal, totally
mechanical camera.

Therefore I can think of a few situations where the Realist
might be preferred... High risk of camera abuse or theft,
adverse environmental conditions (very hot, very cold, etc),
film economy when the wider format is not needed (the 5p
Realist gets 29 pairs in a roll, vs 15 for the S1).

Someone recently sold his S1 and said that he was happier
with his Realist-format camera. So we have at least one
person who would rather use a "Realist" over the S1.
