You mentioned the Radex Viewer. Have you ever seen the device offered by
Radeh for shifting single cameras for Stereo Photography? It was a hinged
affair that went between your tripod and camera. You took your first
photograph then lifted the camera slightly and moved the platform to the
other side. It was not a slide-bar affair.

Ever see one of those?
