The only major problem with using it as a teaching tool is the lack
of a textbook - although there is the user's manual. But it's heavy
going for someone who isn't at all familiar with computer graphics.
I *really* wish Chris Young would update his "Ray Tracing Creations"
for the current POVRAY version.

Putting Moray on as a front end makes it considerably easier to
compose scenes, though, although it's a bit quirky in a number of
areas. 

I think I may have an assignment this semester for one lab to be to
generate a stereo pair.
