[photo-3d] Contura by Seton Rochwite/New quad-lens twin rig

I plan to use my Contura soon to check it out. I think they go for around
$3000 now. There was one in e-bay last Jan #233223718 but I don't know the
final price. One recently went to Alex Klein for $3150 (I was the
underbidder). I bought mine from a collector who bought it 4 years ago at NSA
Rochester. I haven't heard of any going for twice an RBT price!

I just finished a quad-lens twin rig. It is two Phoenix P2 K-mount cameras on
an 18" bar mounted 13" on centers. The lenses are 16mm f/2.8 Zenitar
fisheyes. A dual cable release operates the shutters reasonably close in
time. There was some space wasted in the middle so I mounted a FED there.
The
bar is on a Slik monopod. The whole rig weighs 6lb. Can't wait to try it.
This way I get slides both with 32mm and with 16mm. The nearest object should
be further that 15' for the fisheye shots. I will probably have to mask out
the foreground in many shots with a strip of silver tape. For the FED the
nearpoint is 6'.
