Steve,
Congratulations on your Stereo Royal. I just looked at mine and
didn't 
realize that there are 2 pieces of glass until I took them off. The 
dark glass is to the outside with the frosted glass together. I 
noticed a circular ring of fog in the glass which really hadn't 
affected the image, but now I guess I will try to clean it. I love 
mine much more than a Project-or-View. It is so compact and simple.
