As previously reported David Klutho is on assignment with Sports Illustrated
shooting 3D for a special Olympic 3D edition of this popular magazine. This
will be putting 3D into about 4 million homes.

David Stuckey, has been assisting David Klutho and has also been documenting
this professional 3D photographer with his digital camera.

Reports and photographs are being updated every few days under the banner of
"Our Olympic Games Reporter" on the Sydney Stereo Camera Club website at:
http://www.sscc.asn.au/sscc/

Photos show stereo cameras being used as well as other equipment, camera
locations etc. This site is worth a visit every couple of days. I like the
shot of the confused security guys examining Klutho's 400mm lensed stereo
rig.

BTW, does anyone know what those large sync units are on the twin rigs? He
uses 3 per twin rig. When I asked I was told that they were a commercial
item for multi camera flash sync, or something like that. He also said that
they use the previous shot to error correct for the next shot via the flash
contact. Unfortunately we got onto other topics and I never did find out who
makes them or the logic of how they work.
