You were very lucky, or a little more info was actually provided as to
the address. I know of cases where this has happened, but the USPS opened
up the letter and found additional info inside. Also, there is a special
group of people that try to uncover addresses as well. Perhaps more went
on than is mentioned. Did the USPS just get lucky? Is there only one
person by that name?
I know that it is possible to address a letter to "Microsoft, Redmond
USA" or "Playboy, Chicago Illinois" and it will be delivered. In small
towns you can also get a letter delivered with a limited address.
