During the last Kansai Stereo club meeting, we were treated to
a Fed projector show and tell. The owner also said he had to
disassemble and reassemble the machine to put it into operable
shape, as it was far from ready-to-use as received. He brought
a hefty step-up transformer (Japanese domestic AC is 100
volts), and had prepared plenty of nice paper glasses with
vertically oriented polarizers to match the projector's
characteristics.

The slide carrier seemed a bit flimsy, but the machine is
compact and seems to do the job. The slides (taken with a
FED) looked great and everyone enjoyed the experience. Given
some TLC and a few customized improvements, it might be
fun to use.
