If the Realist were to make a come-back, what would you expect the
cost to be? If it were made in the same manner by casting and
machining the body from metal rather than injection molding a plastic
body like everything else today? Of course it would be worth ever
penny if it lasted 50+ years.
Buy the way, the most popular camera ever sold, the humble Argus C3
went virtually unchanged from 1939-66. Why? Not because it was the
greatest camera ever made, not because of it's styling (brick), but
because it was a known performer and did what was expected of it.
