I agree, but that will not be new either.
"Being" is in the title of some famous philosophical treatises.
("Sein und Zeit", L'Etre et le Néant") :-).
But more worrying is that some opinions simply ignore the fact that
there is more than a century of scientific literature on the
accommoation-convergence issue. I have uploaded only one figure, but
it is from a recent authoritative textbook.
