omg...somebody actually responded to my posting and listed their favorite
things too...well, for starters, i'm sure we're all familiar with the picture
of earth from the moon. that's what i recreated using dirt, a painted ball,
alot of black paper, and x-mas tree lights. sounds cheesy, looks real! it
took 8 hours to set up the lighting and the camera to make it look real. i
used both the nishika n-8000 (for 3-d lenticular vertical format) and a nikon
on a homemade track (for 3d lenticular horizontal format) my nishika was
purchased from a neighbor who had worked 25 years with nasa and worked 10
years as an "as-can orbiter lander trainer" (whew!). i'm looking at my 5x7
horizontal format of earthrise as i am writing this. the bottom 1&1/2"
appears to be the surface of the moon with familiar craters. the image(s) are
set at the horizon. the earth in this 5x7 picture is the size of a quarter,
and barely overlaps the horizon of the moon. it at least appears to be a few
inches behind the actual image(s) itself. behind the earth, (and not seen in
the real photographs) are a few stars. one star barely overlaps the horizon
of the earth, and appears to be a couple of inches behind the earth itself. i
gave a copy my former neighbor for x-mas in '97, although he was more likely
to celebrate hanukkah! i nearly gave him a copy of the interior dash board of
the space shuttle, to which he responded..."i worked there for x-years..."
when i gave him "earthrise", he said, "wow!...that's about what it looks
like..."

i have a few other nasa related pictures that i have copied using scale
models, including the space shuttle orbiting earth. a few of my other
favorites include a horizontal lenticular format of the houston skyline with
a full moon behind the skyline, and another (hyperstereo) horizontal format
of a computer keyboard (used a macro lens) to make it look like a bunch of
buildings...

well, that's all i have for the moment, alot of my new stuff is on hiatus for
the time being...i hope this makes sense as i have been up for almost 20
hours now...

anyone else have any favorites, or any suggestions for pictures that you
would like to see in 3d???

 Can you explain?

I like snapshots of vacation and family.
