You mentioned the Rose Bowl in reference to television 3-D.

That was rather amusing, since this was promoted with a lot of hype, and
Pulfrich type glasses were used.  What to me was funny, was that this was
promoted as some new, exotic 3-D process at the time.

Since it was Pulfrich, all Rose Bowl parades since they first started
televising them have automatically been in 3-D by virtue of the nature of
the subject, which always moves laterally.  (Parades are possibly the most
ideal subject of all for Pulfrich).
