If I'm not wrong, nobody mentioned Pulfrich effect in the thread about
stereo perception.
Pulfrich effect is indeed an interesting  accident, because the wrong
panning speed doesn't yeld to hyper/hypo-stereo nor to dyplopia:
inappropriate panning speeds simply result in flat movies!
