Good luck on finding a source for quality lenses for this purpose. Alan
Lewis sells achromatic lenses for 'scopes. But they are expensive. Reel 3-d
(www.reel3d.com) sells a kit stereoscope with plastic lenses for $39.95
which might be the answer to your problem. (catalog page 6). You could
personalize the finish. As I understand it, stereoscope (stereopticon)
lenses are made by taking a whole, round lens, and cutting in half on a
diamond saw, and then squaring up the edges. There are probably other
alternatives, which will no doubt be supplied here by others more
knowledgeable than I. Quentin Burke.
