[photo-3d] Walk-In Stereo

Did Harold Baize ever post any details on the workings of his walk-in
camera obscura stereo chamber at Burning Man? I'm really interested in
the idea of stereo installations, and the picture at his site looks neat
but confuses me. Howzit work? You there Harold?

The idea of seeing something stereoscopically through a device, but almost
exactly as you could by stepping outside and looking directly, is really
droll - I dig the irony of that, daddy-o. Reminds me of the tanning salon
I wanted to open, with UV booths powered by an array of photovoltaic cells
on the roof. Solor-powered sun lamps, you see. It's so cool and
pointless at the same time.

In fact, I'd like to hear about any public installations of stereo stuff
that people know of. I still want to see a life-sized elephantogram in my
lifetime...

Bruce
