[photo-3d] Digital Lenticular Photos??

Hey Folks:
Anyone out there know exactly how Lenticular prints are made? I mean my
understanding is that the multiple images are somehow interlaced together and
then placed under the prism material. If this is the case would it be
possible to do them yourself by having the film processed normally, scanning
the images into the computer, then using a photo-manipulation program
interlace the images? Since I believe that the Lenticular material can be
purchased separately all that would remain would be to attach the interlaced
print. I know that as I write this much of what I say is based on little or
imperfect knowledge of the many steps involved. However I stand ready to be
educated! And if this process is possible, it might help some of our group
who have Lenticular type cameras, but are having a devil of a time getting
their film processed.
Respectfully submitted:
Mark H
