To sell your stereo images you have to create a need where there is no
need. The best way to do this is to appeal to people's vanity. Let me
explain.......on a daily basis I engage in conversation, look at
photographs, and take note of peoples hobbies and interests. At a
critical moment, and with an attitude of impartiality, I'll say
something like......." too bad I cannot see this image
stereoscopically". " There's alot here to appreciate.........etc etc.
For example, a sculptor will take dozens of photos of a single piece and
I'll ask questions about size and weight of the piece, the texture of
the surface, etc. Then WHAM with my comments...." too bad etc etc...." I
always offer to bring in samples later, never pull a sample out of my
pocket. :-) I've gotten jobs from artists this way. Appeal to their
vanity and don't be too anxious to sell them something. You are offering
to give them a competitive edge, to become noticed, to have their work
noticed by a museum. Create their need! Currently I am pricing jobs for
teen modeling supplemental photos ( by talking to the girl's mother) A
gun collection, an African art importer, a real-estate agent, an
architect and a guy who restores cars. It is unlikely anyone will come
to you...you must create the need then fill it.
Nudes OTOH....folks will come to you. But I don't think I can stay
married while naked chicks prance through the house primping for the
shoot. :-) Don't think I don't want a cut of Boris's action! :-)
