SD&A 2001 KEYNOTE PRESENTATION ANNOUNCED

The chairs and committee of the Stereoscopic Displays and Applications
(SD&A) conference are proud to announce that the keynote speaker for
the 2001 conference (Jan 22-24) will be Spiderman 3D... Well, not
actually Spiderman, but close...

Jeff Kleiser from Kleiser-Walczak Construction Company will present a
presentation titled "Stereoscopic Computer Animation for Location-Based
Entertainment"

Jeff's company (KWCC) performed the stereoscopic computer animation
smarts behind Universal Studio Florida's very successful Spiderman 3D
theme ride.

Here's the abstract:
> Computer-generated stereoscopic imagery projected on a large screen
> can be used in Location-Based Entertainment to create high impact
> visual effects for large audiences. Recent projects will be presented with
> stereoscopic projection of production stages. Images from Universal's
> THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SPIDER-MAN and the Robert
> Wilson/Philip Glass opera MONSTERS OF GRACE will be presented
> along with work-in-progress images from Busch Gardens CORKSCREW
> HILL, slated for completion in Spring 2001.

It should be a very interesting presentation!
