[photo-3d] Best Scanner For Mounted Stereo Slides

After more research, it appears that the Minolta Scan Dual II may be able to 
scan mounted stereo slides, since I believe the tray holds four mounted 
slides.  I assume you can cut the plastic tray to put in two mounted stereo 
slides.  Right???  The tray for the Nikon Coolscan III only hold one regular 
mounted slide....so I assume you cannot put a mounted stereo slide in the 
tray....even to scan only one half of the stereo slide.  Is this correct from 
the folks who use both of these scanners?  Help!
