Just apply. They will tell you if it is available or not. If not, try a
variation here and there. I am not sure of the cost of registration, but
it used to be free, and people took advantage of it by registering
hundreds of names so they can be sold to the firms that should logically
have them.

Have you tried drT.com?

Perhaps we should have a contest. The winner is the person that comes up
with the best name for the good Doctor. George, perhaps you could award
the winner a small prize like a Macro Stereo Realist, or free Stereo
Slide Mounting for a year?
