If you do sell the camera to get the house look into a home equity loan to 
buy a new camera.  These loans are, with some qualifications, tax deductible 
and the rate is certainly better than you'll get on most credit cards.  Think 
long an hard about this.  Once that baby's gone it will be hard to justify 
buying a new one given the always present need to repair/upgrade the house.  
Still, home ownership is pretty cool.  Maybe you will have your own workshop 
in which to mount your stereo photos!!!  Good luck.
