There are some nice lenticular conversions of stereo cards currently
available, but my understanding is that a third "in between" image was
digitally created to make these lenticulars work smoothly. John Billingham
has created some spectacular inkjet "barrier" prints by interlacing two
images, printing the composite image to a transparency and then overlaying a
barrier transparency consisting of lines printed at the interlacing
frequency so that each eye only sees one of the two interlaced images. You
have to position your head precisely, but I think these look better than
most lenticular prints. Then there's the 8 and 12 image lenticulars
created on Nimslos that David Burder joins together - those are incredible!
