OK, so you are all saying that cha-cha is great for
a beginner.

It also one of the most advanced and powerful
techniques in stereo.  Cha-cha or, in extension,
stereo with a single camera (includes from
moving platforms, trains, planes and automobiles)

It takes considerable knowledge and experience to
find the right subject and use the method successfully.
It also eats a lot of film (high ratio of failure).

A beginner will make two mistakes: 1) Too wide stereo
base, 2) Misalignment between R and L.  As long as 
he/she is a beginner, that's no big deal.

Cha-cha is good as an introduction to stereo and
a powerful supplement but not a substitute for the
stereo camera, IMO.
