Subject: suggested equipment for beginners
We can't assume that all beginners are dummies and insist that they
make all the mistakes that we made to become a good stereo shooter.
A average beginner in stereo should have:
Some experience in photography. (Know what F stops and shutter speeds
do and how it relates to film speed and light. How film speed
relates to grain. Focus and DOF etc.)
A stereo camera that will take top quality photos yet is not clumsey
to operate and doesn't cost an arm and leg. ( Revere 33, TDC Vivid
or Colorist II).
A light box, Film cutter, travel iron and some heat seal mounts.
A slide viewer. (an $8 STL will do to start)
This will get him started.
Later after he has decided he is hooked, he should know what
direction he wishes to go from there:
Wollensak 10, RBT, Medium format, Red Button, Kodaslide II,
projector etc......
