Re: [photo-3d] Loreo Approach

Good idea, but I don't go with the Viewmagic. My newest suggestion is to
remove the Loreo/Argus viewer from the kit and include a Holmes vintage
viewer with the camera. That way, the newbie user can get a better idea of
stereo than he/she can using the crummy (IMO) viewer provided by Loreo.
Throw in a couple of antique views and a few Q-VU X mounts with the
gift/sale, and tell the recipient/purchaser that he/she can do the same
quality stuff as the old Keystoners with a better camera. When/if he/she
gets hooked, you tell him/her you'll take the Loreo back as down payment on
a better camera that you'll help him/her buy. Then you can recycle the
Loreo to another beginner. (Of course, this needs an endless supply of
Holme-type viewers. Or, buying kit Holmes stereoscopes at $40 +/- from Reel
3-D). Part of the Loreo problem is that the system is its non-standard
format (unless remounted) and its technically inferior, also non-standard,
viewer. Quentin
