I own a ViewMagic for viewing side-by-side prints and the mirrors don't degrade the image at all.

I have recently starting selling the PokeScope viewer which works great for full frame prints of any size and doesn't require a stand for holding the prints. Compared with many stereoscopes it is relatively insensitive to image mis-alignment which makes it ideal for use with the "Cha Cha" method of shooting. You can see picture of it at my website www.pokescope.com
