I too am a fan of these fingerless glove/mittens (wool with thinsulite
insulation), but I also use a thin liner glove (thermax or polypro)
inside them in colder weather, and find that I can still operate the
camera controls with these on. The thumb covering is still thick with
these but one manages.
I also have some finger- and thumbless wool gloves that could be worn
over liners to give a little better dexterity but not as much warmth as
with the mitten-covered-fingertip version. -Linda
