Ever since I first heard that it was originally designed as a 7 perf camera
I have been wondering that. I think all that would have to be modified it
the focus assembly and then just not run the film through the loop. I'm
going to do a few test with mine, but I really need a busted one I can
butcher :)
I really want to see if this can be done!

The linkup is just a mechanical calculator for use when you don't have a
light meter. You have total control over aperture or shutter, these setting
dials don't change one another, but they do effect a 3rd indicator dial that
has indications for the type of light you are shooting in (bright sun, hazy
sun, etc).

It's almost exactly the same as "Easy-Indicator" on the View-Master camera
which was designed by the same person.

Is anyone performing modifications on the Vivid to turn it into 7P format?
Sounds like it might not be too difficult if that's what the original design
accomodated.

About the Vivid, can someone please explain how that linkup works between
aperture and shutter speed? I'm wondering if that setup precludes one from
overriding the settings to gain either the aperture priority or shutter
priority one might desire.
