Another BIG problem to watch out for that most people overlook is the 
jet exhaust. Try to get a seat in front of the engine or your images 
will come out soft if you shoot through the heat waves from the exhaust.

And yet one more problem to watch out for is the flight path of the 
plane. Don't try it if the palne is circling or you are climbing or 
descending at an extreme angle. It is works best if the plane is flying 
straight and level and the camera is perfectly perpendicular to the 
flight path.

I have had my best luck using the zoom lens of my RBT set at 70mm. By 
the way, using a stereo camera for hypers will get you an automatic 
dupe of every shot.
