[photo-3d] RBT Hexar - I'm confused!

Hi everyone!

The RBT Hexar that's for sale on eBay is described as yielding 18 24x36
pairs from one 36 exposure roll. So presumably it's 8perf, and has a
one/three film advance pattern. However, the lens spacing is described as
65mm, and judging from the photograph of the open back, that can't be 36mm
between the two gates. (Space for the interleaved 24x36) So what format is
it?

Still on this subject, what would an 8perf (or full frame) camera with a
lens separation of 75mm be suitable for? I like the sound of a slightly
hyper camera, (models like the RBT X2V2-B and 109-B.) it should give an
enhanced 3D effect, and more suitable for medium distance subjects. I use
a 7perf Iloca Stereo at the moment, and while it's great for things at
about six feet or so, things more than about thirty or forty feet away,
don't look very 3D.

Would a 75mm spacing camera still be suitable for closer subjects?
(Portrait distance) The great advantage of this format is that any lab
could process and mount (in a pair of 2x2) the transparencies. Then these
could be viewed in a regular viewer, such as the Berezin RealTwin. No
mounting required. (Which I'm not very good at!)
