[photo-3d] Ektagraphic projectors: slide registration (old vs new)??

I have heard that stereo projection of two slides using two Kodak 
carousel style projectors mandates using the "Ektagraphic" line (not 
the "Carousel" line) since the Ektagraphic line has additional 
hardware to exactly register the slides for precise positioning.  
Kodak is selling the "Ektagraphic III" line today.

Does anyone by-any-chance know if the precision registration was also 
available in the older, simpler Ektagraphic models such as the E-2
and the B-2 (no longer sold today)?

Has anyone used the E-2 or B-2 for stereo dual slide presentations?
