[photo-3d] questions about formulas

I have been taking stereo pictures for years. But
only recently (by virtue of the net) have I discovered
how much control one can have over the 3d effect.
This has raised some other questions for me. Please be
understanding as all this technical data and
mathematics is hard on my pea brain.
Questions;
1) I have a 35mm realist with which I like to make
holmes type views. My camera is 35mm f.l. and my
holmes stereo viewers are of focal length many times
longer, is there an adjustment I can make to
compensate for this difference? (I'm using the formula
on Deering's web site.)
2)If I were to composite (in photoshop) different
stereo images made with different F.L. cameras would
that work?
3) Noting that in old stereo print views their sizes
had variations, does the actual print size of the
views factor in the maximum stereo effect equation?
I thank you for any help?
David
