[photo-3d] Motion Disparity

Boris mentions experimenting with image disparities........I'm a fan of
this approach and have several successful images as examples. Many will
argue and disagree that disparities are disturbing..........but not
always. I'll sight an example. Using a tripod and a pair of star point
filters, I photographed a cityscape night scene.
I made sure the image flairs as seen through each lens were oriented
nearly the same, but not identical. I rotated one filter until I
achieved the desired " twinkle" effect as seen through the stereo
viewfinder capabilities using my X4. The result is a " living"
image........the lights appear to twinkle in real time!
Before I got my X4, I was achieving the same effect using my Realist and
hand-holding the filters in front of the lenses. Each filter ring was
marked with a white dot so I could align the filters manually. I have
nice photos of twinkling holiday lights, city lights, the moon etc using
ths technique. Mark Dottle
