[where is the search engine?]

As noted on the results page that is displayed after your
registration is recorded: "The FriendFinder(sm) search
feature will be activated after sufficient registrations
are collected."

I understand your anxiousness to find this information as
soon as possible. I'm anxious to see the database grow as
quickly as possible so that the service can become a valuable
resource for the stereo community as soon as possible. But
we're fighting human tendencies toward inertia here! Also note
that, while we live in an age of "instant news dissemination"
via the internet, the birth of 3D Photo FriendFinder(sm), for
some inexpicable reason, did not merit front page coverage on
Yahoo news! ;-) At this time, the only folks who know about
the service are a) the *subset* of subscribers of photo-3d (and
two smaller lists) who are caught up on reading messages or
digests, and noticed the discussion on this topic; b) visitors
to the RMM web site http://www.rmm3d.com who followed the link
from the home page or the order confirmation page; c) a few
other surfing souls who may have seen or heard of it elsewhere.

Unless everyone on Photo-3D takes a few minutes to register soon,
the process of building up the database to a critical mass will
end up taking months (at least). Why? Because we will have to
rely on slower news dissemination avenues like club newsletters,
Stereo World ads, announcements at NSA, and people stumbling upon
the service while cruising the 'net.

Susan Pinsky and David Starkman of Reel-3D have agreed to tell their
webmaster (Alex Klein) to add a link to 3D Photo FriendFinder on the
Reel-3D website. I hope that everyone else with a 3D photo web site
will also add a link to help spread the word in support of this
effort to help 3D hobbyists congregate!

Everyone else on this list who has not yet done so...register now!
http://www.rmm3d.com/friend-finder/register.shtml

and then spread the word far and wide!
