Dr.Dave gave his reasons for not persuing MF (yet).

Interesting and good answer, but this begs the question.
1) Why aren't there more people to share your work with?
2) Why aren't there more exhibitions to enter?
3) Why aren't there projectors for single dual aperture mounts?
4) Why aren't there any dedicated stereo cameras.
5) Why is the cost of everything higher?
Answer. Boils down to what Peter said, convenience and costs.
